Beautiful Wildcat Wedding in Manhattan , Kansas | Professional Topeka Photographer Stacey Zoll Photography

Hello, hello! I wanted to share just a few photos from this recent wedding held at St. Isidore Catholic Church, right across the street from the Kansas State University Alumni Center, in Manhattan, Kansas.  The couple, originally high school classmates, had led separate lives after high school, only to be reconnected when they ran into one another at Target.  They are so fun and full of love for one another; it was a wonderful day hanging out with them and their friends and families.

The day began at Hair Experts in Manhattan for the women as they drank mimosas in personalized robes out of their personalized wine glasses, while getting their hair and makeup done.  They all looked beautiful!  The weather was overcast and gorgeous, which was a HUGE blessing for an August wedding!  The couple did a First Look prior to the ceremony in the gardens outside, followed by family and wedding party photos.  The wedding colors were, of course, shades of purple, including the Kansas State purple.

Their wedding ceremony was a traditional Catholic mass and included a family unity sand ceremony where the Bride's (and now Groom's!) three children, and their baby son, poured shades of purple sand in a Family sand decoration.  After the ceremony, the Bridal Party was escorted around town in the MHK Trolley for some Bridal photos, and stopped at Kite's Bar for a celebratory shot.  From there, we headed back to the Wareham Opera House, where the Bridal Party made their grand entrance.  Once they were onstage, a special guest, Willie the Wildcat, made his own grand entrance, of course to be followed by the Wabash Cannonball and photos with the guests.  A bit later, the Maids of Honor and Best Men, Father of the Bride, and Groom shared heartfelt, hilarious, speeches that had many people laughing and crying at the same time.  It was very touching and I am sure holds many dear memories for the couple.

Lyndsey & Logan, it was an honor to share in your commitment to one another and to the Lord.  I pray that your kids will learn the meaning of true love and a Christ-centered marriage through your love and adoration for Jesus and one another.  Thank you for letting me be a part of your day, and may your family be blessed always.

Wedding Fun at Maceli's Lawrence | Topeka, Kansas Photographer Stacey Zoll Photography

Welcome back! Today I am going to share some images from a recent wedding I photographed at Maceli's of Lawrence, Kansas.  This couple was so much fun at their engagement session and they did not disappoint on their wedding day!  For as down-to-earth as they seem to be, there is not many dull moments.  They come with lots of laughs, sincerity, and just an all-around good time.  It was wonderful getting to share this day with them, and I have high hopes for their future together as Mr. & Mrs!

The ceremony and reception were both held at Maceli's, displaying colors and party favors of orange and blue.  The flowers by Owen's Flower Shop were gorgeous, and the family and guests were a real pleasure to be around.  The flower girl and ring bearer received candy from the groom for making it down the aisle, the Bride made it through the vows without laughing too much (perhaps the center of attention is not her absolute favorite thing, haha), and they, literally, danced their way back down the aisle after being announced as husband & wife.

Their first dance had a choreographed opening with an unexpected twist, their wedding cake was laquered powdered-donuts (don't worry..it was a decoration only!), because they actually exchanged famous Manhattan, Kansas Varsity Donuts in lieu of the traditional cake-cutting.  The toasts given by family, friends and the Groom were awesome and had everyone laughing as well!  (By the way, I look forward to an invite to that New Year's Eve party!). All in all, it was just a great day. So check out some of the images below and then head over to their personal photo gallery on the SZP website to see more!

Thank you SO much to you both for allowing me to photograph your day!  I wish you all the very best as you start your next chapter. You will be missed in Kansas I'm sure but I hope your new life is more than you thought it would be, and I pray God blesses your marriage always!
