Engagement - A Flint Hills Proposal | Manhattan, Kansas Engagement & Wedding Photographer

A Birthday Proposal / Engagement at Top of the World!

As I have already mentioned, I absolutely love photographing surprises and announcements, so naturally getting to photograph a surprise proposal takes the cake, because it is even a surprise to the person being photographed!

The Groom-to-Be contacted me about a week prior to the big moment and told me his plans for the occasion.  We met up beforehand to go over logistics to make sure that I would know where to be in advance without being spotted, and would have a good view of the moment.  We devised our secret plan and then waited for the following week when he would ask the Big question...

When the day arrived, the couple was taking their dog on a walk (as is normal for them), and I just happened to be hanging out in the area.  It was much colder and windier than we had anticipated, but it all worked out ok!  He gave the future Mrs. her birthday card, got down on one knee, and the rest can be seen below! It was SO much fun to be able to witness the surprise and excitement in her face, as well as the joy in his because, of course, she said Yes!

You can enjoy in our excitement by viewing a few of these special moments in the photos below!
