Fall Wedding in Manhattan | Professional Topeka Wedding Photographer | Stacey Zoll Photography

A Peace Lutheran Wedding and Fort Riley Convention Center Party!

Why hello!! Last weekend I worked with this awesome couple as they vowed to spend their lives loving one another and then partied the night away! The wedding colors were a deep red that was perfect for a Fall wedding, combined with light gray suits worn by the gentlemen.  The beautiful florals were designed by Kistner's Flowers in Manhattan.  Big Daddy Brooks provided the DJ/Video services for the day, and the wedding cake was prepared by the local Hy-Vee bakery.

We started off at Peace Lutheran Church in Manhattan where the couples got dressed and prepared the final touches before walking down the aisle.  The Bride's pastor led the ceremony surrounded by friends and family from as far away as the Philippines; it was a lovely ceremony and included the lighting of a unity candle.

Afterwards we took some family portraits for both sides of the family prior to heading out to the Riley Convention Center for the reception.  The weather and the lighting were Gorgeous!! They picked a wonderful day to get married!  The wedding party and I had some fun before heading in so we could snap some fun shots before the sun went down.  It was during this time that the personalities really shone through.  They were a fun bunch and we certainly got some entertaining photos.  The Bride & Groom and I were able to sneak back out after dinner for some photos with the two of them during the final moments of sunset.

Big Daddy Brooks kept everyone involved and having fun; he did a great job!! The reception included the cutting of the cake, toasts, first dance, parent dances, honeymoon dance, and the shoe game and the rest of the time many of the guests danced the night away and really enjoyed themselves.  I particularly enjoyed the toast given by the Bride's sister and maid of honor; it made for a great laugh to start off the evening!  During the reception the groom's parents also presented the couple with a gorgeous quilt handmade by his mother, grandmother, and a couple of other women in his family.  It was really fun watching everyone take part in the reception and have a great time.

Alaina and Cameron, thank you so much for the memories and choosing me to document them for you.  It was so much fun getting to spend this day with you both and see how the two of you balance one another out so well.  You make a wonderful couple and I pray that God blesses your marriage abundantly as you share life together, and learn how to drive each others' vehicles  ;) .

A Gorgeous Wedding in Wichita at Noah's Event Venue | Topeka, KS Wedding Photographer | Stacey Zoll Photography

Fun, Glamour, & High Style at Noah's Event Center

I cannot wait to share some images with you from this gorgeous Friday evening wedding!  Due to the chaos that was my September this blog is coming to you a few weeks late, but it doesn't make the images any less beautiful!

I had the pleasure of meeting this couple last year when they decided to take some fun boyfriend/girlfriend photos together while the Groom was in town from his home in New York.  They met at a church conference out of state and were clearly a perfect match for one another.  I was happy to hear from the Bride last summer that they had recently gotten engaged and wanted to have an engagement session done in the future.  We laughed our way through their engagement session and managed to get some beautiful photos (particularly when the Groom was behaving himself); don't get me wrong, I absolutely love working with this guy!  Both of them have so much energy when they are together that it is infectious.

So naturally, the wedding came next!  They were married a Friday evening in September at the new Noah's Event Venue in Wichita, Kansas.  It is a Gorgeous location!! The ceiling is draped in fabric and twinkle lights, the walls of windows makes for wonderful natural light, and the couple went all out and added a ton of beautiful details; "bling" is what came to mind when I looked around.  It was a perfect wedding for this energetic, fashionable couple.  It would take too long to name every detail, but the aisle was lined with glass lanterns incasing branches and lights, the stunning silver & white wedding cake by Cameo's Cake was adorned with jewels and a sophisticated bow, and the reception was covered in candles, flowers, jewels, and bright blue and magenta accents to match the bridesmaids dresses and wedding colors.  You will simply have to look at the photos to understand just what I mean!

The Bride & Groom did not see one another prior to the ceremony, so while the Groom's crew of New Yorkers were dancing their hearts out, playing pool, and just being boys in the Groom's area, the girls were in the Bride's room getting hair and makeup done surrounded by mirrors, flowers, and other accessories.

The ceremony included its own special touches, and of course a few laughs, as I have come to expect from the couple.  As the flower girl and ring bearer made their way down the aisle the Groom starting laughing hysterically and I learned why once they turned the corner and I read the signs each of them carried which included "Last Chance to Run Michael" & "Here Comes the Bride!"  It was awesome!   I could see the anxiousness and excitement on the Groom's face while he waited for Tempest to come in and the joy that was evident as soon as he saw her.  The ceremony included music by very talented singers, vows (to which the Groom brought out a scroll that was probably 8 feet long for effect), and an unsuspected serenade of "You Are So Beautiful" for the Bride, communion, and prayer.  It was a wonderful ceremony focused on God's love for them, and their love for one another.

After the ceremony we took some family portraits, bridal party photos, and then headed outside to get a few nice portraits for the couple just in time as the sun set.  We came back inside to an elaborately decorated reception where the couple had their first dance, and cut the wedding cake as dinner was being served.

I really enjoyed this wedding and working with these two again.  I am so excited for them and the life of love and laughter I am sure they will enjoy together.  I have a feeling they will definitely "sharpen" one another with their wit and personality, and keep each other smiling for years to come.  Thanks so much for deciding to make me a part of your wedding day; it was truly a memorable experience!
