A Lawrence Kansas Wedding Story | Manhattan, KS Photographer

KU says I Do at Maceli's Lawrence

You may have seen this couple in an earlier blog when I did their engagement pictures at Kansas University Lawrence.  These Jayhawk fans, and alumni, whose first initials happened to be KU, were SO much fun to work with and I thoroughly enjoyed taking their photos.

Their wedding took place at Maceli's in Lawrence, KS and had so many wonderful details.  The tables were decorated with handmade signs with their favorite love-related movie quotes, the Bridesmaids wore Royal Blue (KU Blue!) dresses and had these awesome, coral-colored heels to go with it.  The wedding cake was decorated with none-other-than the Bride & Groom made out of clay and sitting on the Groom's SUV.  It was awesome!

The wedding was beautiful, with the Bride walking down the stairs being escorted by her beaming Father, and a unity sand ceremony where they mixed the KU colors in a picture frame showing their favorite engagement photo.

After the wedding we headed down the street to take some photos of the bridal party and Bride & Groom.  Everyone did awesome considering it felt like 100 degrees outside, and I wasn't wearing a suit! Once the photos were done, however, the fun began! There was an awesome DJ, lots of dancing, laughing, and wonderful memories to be had.

This was an all-around awesome group and it was so much fun spending the day with everyone!

Engagement Photos | Lawrence, KS | Manhattan, KS Photographer

A Kansas University Engagement Session

I had such an awesome time with this couple during their session. I will be photographing their wedding this summer and I was so thrilled to get to meet them and play around for an hour.  It is obvious how in love they are and I can tell already that their wedding will be a great time!

As a KU student, grad and fan, they decided on the Jayhawk campus for their engagement photos.  They obviously made a great choice as their photos are beautiful..if I could, I would just pack parts of KU campus into my bag (particularly a tree that I LOVE) and take them everywhere with me!  We took some nice, traditional style photos, with candids mixed in throughout (of course!) to capture their real personality.  Then we decided to just have some fun at the end with a really cool sign that can be found on campus as well as the very photogenic camponile!  I hope you enjoy viewing them, as we certainly had fun taking them!
