It's Tulip Time! Or at least it was...! I was so excited to get to shoot this engagement session during Tulip Time at Lake Shawnee. I have been to the lake on many occasions over the last couple of years, but this was my first session that fell during this time of year. It was so fun! I LOVE flowers (and it's driving me bonkers I haven't had a time to plant my own yet this Spring), so I got to live vicariously through them I suppose as we walked through this gorgeous garden. Thanks to Kansas we had to have SOMETHING to contend with of course, and on this particular day, it was the wind...but we did it! And their images are adorable! HI! In case you don't know much about me, I am a person that gets SUPER excited when Winter is OVER!! So this couple was [almost] in luck, because their engagement session was scheduled for just days after the grass turned green and the flowers & trees began blooming! You might wonder why I said "almost"; though the foliage was beautiful, the weather decided to change directions that day so what was sunny skies and warmer temperatures the day before was actually pretty dang cold!! Luckily for all, we had jackets and they just took them on and off as needed for photos. I, on the other hand, went ahead and left mine on!! Freezing photographers doesn't make for good photos! HAHA.
Anyhow, they were SO fun to work with, and as you can see are a totally Adorable couple together! I am so looking forward to photographing their wedding in Manhattan, Kansas this Fall! Enjoy!

Hello, hello! I am so excited to share this short video of Neil & Carrington's wedding day! The group got ready at the beautiful Bluemont Hotel in Manhattan, Kansas, where the reception was held, with the ceremony taking place at the College Avenue Methodist church.
This adorable couple has been together since high school and they are both Kansas State University students, so we took the MHK Trolley to the Bill Snyder stadium for a photo op with the man himself, fulfilling one of the Groom's personal wishes! We also headed over to Anderson Hall for a few photos before the reception.
The reception was catered with yummy food from Coco Bolos, a gorgeous cake courtesy of 4 Cakes, Manhattan, and kept alive with the talents of To The Max DJ Entertainment!
Carrington & Neil, you are a beautiful couple inside and out and it was such a pleasure working with the two of you. I pray that your marriage thrives in your lifetime together, under God, and that these photos bring you smiles always. Thank you for letting me share in your day!
