Wetmore Wedding - K + L | Professional Topeka Photographer Stacey Zoll Photography

Hey, hey, hey! I am excited to share a few previews with you from last Saturday's wedding in the small town of Wetmore, Kansas, near Holton.  What a blast it was!  The couple got ready and held their ceremony at the Bride's home parish of St. James in Wetmore, Kansas.  It was clear by the friends and family that came out for the event that the couple is dearly loved and supported by many! They had a packed ceremony and reception; what a blessing!

The reception was also held at the St. James Parish Hall but we took a small detour to go take a few photos around town.  After the ceremony we went to visit the Groom's grandmother who was unable to make it to the ceremony.  She lit up to see them and they even brought her a corsage of her own.  It was a sweet moment that I am sure all will cherish.

The Bridal Party had a party bus for the transportation after so they had loosened up quite a bit before we hit Main Street in Wetmore, where we took a few more shots of the Bridal Party and the couple before heading over the big party.  The reception had a great DJ that kept the party moving and everyone clearly had a great time.  The Bride's sisters made a photo slide show of the Bride & Groom growing up, and of course photos of their time together, to share with the crowd.  The venue was decorated with a ton of personalized bottles, jars, flowers, photos, etc.  It was clear a lot of work went into this day, and a great day it was!

Keri & Logan - thanks so much for choosing me to photograph your wedding and engagement! I had such a great time, and know your marriage will be wonderful as your love for one another and your friendship is evident to all who see you together.  May you always love one another with the love Christ has for year, and may your marriage be forever blessed!

Topeka Wedding at Great Overland Station | Professional Photographer Stacey Zoll Photography

Why hello! This wedding and reception both took place at the historic Great Overland Station in Topeka, Kansas this past February.  It made for a large area that was accommodating to all of the guests and has a pretty balcony area overlooking the main area for extended seating & viewing.  You can visit the venue's website for more information regarding the historical significance of the station.  As is often the case when I am the photographer, we lucked out with some pretty awesome weather for a winter wedding! (Awesome according to my opinion that is, which means it wasn't freezing and the sun was out!! YAY!!).

This Adorable couple is so sweet and kind and were such a pleasure to work with.  Their wedding colors were a blush pink and dark blue, and their decor and fresh flowers were fun and beautiful and represented the couple well.   The welcome table had many cute details but my favorite was their "Shake it like a Polaroid picture" song reference as their greeters snapped a photo of the guests as they arrived for their guest book.  What a fun new trend to remember guests and make it personal!

The couple chose to do a First Look prior to the ceremony so we could complete most of the family formals beforehand and they could go right into the reception afterward.  The ceremony was short and sweet and consisted of hand-written vows by the Bride & Groom.  A friend of theirs was ordained for the event in order to be the one to announce them "Mr. & Mrs." 

The reception, with DJ services provided by Marcus of Affordable Pro DJ Service, was full of fun, laughter, and happily ever after as the guests drank, laughed, and danced the night away.  

This was an all-around great day and it was such a pleasure sharing in their celebration.  Thanks so much to the happy couple for having me as your photographer.  I wish a lifetime of happiness, encouragement, and God's blessings. Topeka Engagement at Gage Park | M + B | Professional Photographer Stacey Zoll Photography

Welcome back photo viewers! Today I have the pleasure of sharing a preview of Molly & Brent's recent engagement session.  I would love to share the whole thing with you (especially a couple of hilarious outtakes), but alas, I must narrow them down, so here are my top images that I just couldn't resist!

You may notice that I said "recent", yet the sun is shining!  We were lucky enough to have what some may refer to as "decent" winter weather.  I, of course, scoff at this sentiment because my fingers were still purple by the end of the session, as Brent so nicely pointed out to me, haha.  The good news is, that after some intense heavy breathing on my hands, and holding them over the car vent while driving home afterward (don't worry, I only put one to the vent at a time), my fingers thawed out, regained their regular color, and my phalanges and I will live to photograph another day!  Hooray!  However, I will concede and say that it was much warmer than it could have been for being done in January, so thank you Lord for that... but I still won't say it was good weather!

So after the weather report, lets move on to the couple! They are getting married this Spring and were a ton of fun to work with.  How Molly managed to wear a dress for this I will never know, she is clearly better at this "winter" thing than I.. and she looked beautiful doing it!  Brent is a crackup and I so look forward to working with the two of them on their wedding day.  I was lucky enough to meet the other members of the family as well that I have been told about from the beginning.  Their beautiful four-legged babies are full of energy, personality, and were fun to incorporate into some of the shots.  Working with all of them was a real pleasure and I sure hope they love their "winter" images as much as I do!

A Surprise Pregnancy Announcement | Manhattan, KS Maternity & Newborn Photographer

A couple of weeks ago I had SUCH a pleasure of photographing this adorable couple so they could reveal their wonderful news to their family & friends!  It was even more awesome because I had just photographed this soldier's homecoming ceremony a month or so before, and already their family had more wonderful news!  It is a huge privilege to get to be involved in announcements like this. I absolutely LOVE it, and I cannot wait to follow the story of their growing family!

Thank you SO much to those of you that trust me with your life events.  It is such an honor and so humbling to me that you choose to make me a part of your story, and God Bless this family and the new little Mr. or Miss!
