Boudoir sessions are some of the most rewarding and fun sessions that I do.  I love the way the women feel when they get all "dolled up" and do something that most have never done before and won't do again.  The self esteem and empowerment that comes from feeling gorgeous inside and out makes it so special.  Combine that with giving their spouse a thoughtful and usually unexpected gift just makes it that much better.  This truly is one of my favorite things to shoot and I appreciate every opportunity to work with women that may or may not realize how beautiful they are until they see themselves through my lens.  I pray that I have many, many more opportunities to show women how beautiful they are, inside and out, in the years to come.

If you are considering a boudoir or glamour session for yourself but feel it is "out of your comfort zone", then I invite you to contact me and I am happy to talk to you more about it.  Most women don't come to me because they are super models and do this all the time.  The majority have never done anything like it and are thrilled when they see how sexy and beautiful they can be.  With the right direction and posing from an experienced photographer, everyone can look like a super model!

Maternity Photos | Manhattan, Kansas | Newborn Photographer

This maternity session was one of my favorite maternity sessions to date! We actually arrived at Kansas State University just in time for the storm to roll in that was supposed to arrive two hours later according to the weather site I looked up.  Luckily, there was no lightning going on yet, just some scary gray clouds that were sneaking up on us.  Rather than worrying about it, we opted to do as much as we could as quickly as we could in case we needed to make a run for it!  The resulting images were Stunning however and the overcast glow on their skin just made this adorable couple even more gorgeous.  I just KNOW their little girl is going to be beautiful! I was also happy that we were able to get the session done during that first spring bloom when this particular tree was covered in white blossoms.  Since the couple is a set of KState Alums we had to get some fun images of them in their Wildcat gear as well!

Newborn Girl {3 days New} - Manhattan, Kansas | Photographer

Here are some photos of an adorable baby girl and her Army family.  Her big brother is 17 years old so this was a unique family session for me, and I wanted to make sure that he was involved in the photos as well!  I was also able to photograph this couple's pregnancy reveal and maternity photos so I was able to join in their journey.  Part of what I love about photography is being able to join families in their journey through life, whether it is just yearly portraits, pregnancies, a child's first year, or a young couple that is getting ready to be married.  It is such an honor to be a part of such momentous occasions.

A Wedding at the Westin | Kansas City | Manhattan, Kansas | Wedding Photographer

Right after Valentine's Day I was honored to photograph a small wedding in Kansas City at the Westin Hotel at Crown Center.  It was a gorgeous ceremony, complete with personally written vows and a "blessing of the rings", in which the rings were passed around the guests to be prayed over before the couple exchanged them.  There was laughter and tears, making it the perfect occasion!  The ceremony and reception were held on the top floor surrounded by windows; the ceremony itself was right about sunset so the light was nice and warming as well.  There were many candles and a gorgeous fire after sundown making for a gorgeous, relaxing reception, complete with a cake that looked just like a pizza!

And (yes I realize I should not start a paragraph with And!, buuutttt...) it wouldn't be a post by me if I didn't mention the weather, which was miraculously in the 40's that day!! It had been below freezing for weeks, but God smiles upon us with warmer temperatures for safe travels, and some outside pictures (without jackets!) with the beautiful KC skyline.  I Love the way their photos turned out and I can happily say that the Bride & Groom have been wonderfully grateful as well!

Sweet 16 | Manhattan, Kansas | Senior Portrait Photographer

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by a past client of mine about her cousin that was coming to Kansas from Florida as a "Sweet 16" gift.  I was told that she was a country girl at heart and really wanted some Kansas-country photos for her session.  I was pretty sure that could be arranged! ;)

We went to two local places in Manhattan in order to get a variety of images.  God blessed me again with warm weather for the day and we managed to finish up just as the temperature was dropping and the crazy winds were coming out to play for the night! Her photos turned out absolutely gorgeous and really helped to capture the essense of "Sweet" 16 with a country feel!  Hey, maybe she will send me some more 16 year olds from Florida??!

Newborn Girl {3 days New} | Manhattan, Kansas | Photographer

What were you up to on Valentine's Day this year? Well, I was photographing this little sweetheart before her Daddy headed back to Germany! Mom & Baby hope to be there soon as well, but for now, they were kind enough to join me in my studio so I could capture her during those precious first few days.  She was a very light sleeper and was very posessive of her hands! She certainly kept us on our toes, but we were able to improvise and get some beautiful shots for Mom & Dad to cherish.. particularly Dad who misses her so very much!

Engagement / Save the Date | Manhattan, Kansas | Professional Wedding Photographer | Stacey Zoll Photography

I had a fun little session with this military couple about a week ago.  In the midst of our FREEZING winter, they managed to schedule for a day with some sunshine! WOOHOO! Since they aren't from around here, we took the photos in the midst of some tall grass that didn't look frozen to death to give their recipients a view of the Kansas prairie! It was much nicer than the other option of lifeless trees I think.. wouldn't you agree? =)  There was a bit of a wind chill factor but we did as much as we could as fast as we could and now they are on their way to some adorable Save the Date cards for their upcoming wedding!  Today, however, I think it is 20 degrees outside and I'm freezing my knickers off in my own house (No, I don't actually own knickers.. but I like the way that sounds)!  Stay warm people!!! Winter Maternity Photos | Manhattan, Kansas | Newborn Photographer | Stacey Zoll Photography

I will admit right off the bat.. I do not like winter! However..snow is pretty!  I would just rather not have to go in it...UNLESS.. I get to take pretty pictures in it, and then run back inside and hide until it melts!  With that little disclaimer, I can get back on track here...

We arrived on location to take maternity photos as fast as we possibly could before Mom, Dad, and possibly even baby turned into a lovely ice sculpture for park visitors to enjoy.  Lucky for us, it was a whopping 24 degrees that day, not counting the wind chill, and yes.. I just said "lucky for us."  The following day it was 4 degrees, so apparently we ended up with the warmest day of the week!!  Mom & Dad did amazing, however, and we were able to snap some beautiful images and race back to the car within 15 minutes. Thank God!

I am now excitedly awaiting the arrival of their little girl in the next few weeks so I can capture her newborn photos!

An Autumn Couple | Engagement / Couple Photography | Manhattan, Kansas | Professional Wedding Photographer | Stacey Zoll Photography

I was SO excited to photograph this couple during the most gorgeous time of year here in Kansas (according to my opinion anyway..which is the only opinion offered in this blog since it is mine ;)  )!!  The leaves seemed to fall off the trees even faster this year than last year, but that was okay, because I got to take their photos at the perfect time; there were leaves on the ground AND on the trees and it was Gorgeous! They are such a sweet couple that has been married for about a year if I recall, and it was a real pleasure working with them and seeing how much they loved each other!  They are new to this area so I was honored they chose me to update their photos! I just noticed I use a lot of explanation points.. but what can I say? Autumn photos are exciting!! =)

Woo! I'm a bit behind on my blogging.. but better late than never, right?!? Gotta love holiday season! Here's some photos from a fun one year birthday / cake smash session in my studio that I did with a Minnie Mouse fan! Cake Smash! Miss A's One Year Birthday! | Manhattan, Kansas | Professional Photographer | Stacey Zoll Photography

Miss A recently celebrated her first birthday with a once-in-a-lifetime cake smash session!  Her Mom went with a "wild thang" theme and dressed her in an animal print onesie with coordinating hair bow and tutu! A little bit of pink was added to the backdrop for some girly color.  She really enjoyed her cake making it extremely hard to narrow down which images to include in this blog! I will contain myself, however, and manage to choose just a few.. however difficult it may be!

Newborn Girl , Miss A, 8 days New | Manhattan , Kansas | Newborn Photographer | Fort Riley | Junction City | Wamego

Miss A decided to make her appearance one month early so she was photographed at eight days old.  Her Mom was excited to have her photographed with pink but we also used an antique pram for some variety.  She was a sweet 5 lbs when I saw her and I enjoyed working with her and her parents! I was lucky enough to do their maternity pictures as well; it is always exciting to be a part of such a beautiful journey!
