Senior photography has really become an art in today's society. It gives the senior and the photographer an outlet to be creative, have fun, and make some beautiful, one-of-a-kind images to remember this awesome time in their life. It is an opportunity to recognize their individualism as they begin the next stage.
The Seniors included in this blog were quite opposite in personality, but equally fun to work with. Their sessions took place at a few different locations in Manhattan, KS, and though they were done four months apart, the temperature was literally freezing during both sessions! We actually got snowed on during the month of April!! All in all, however, we achieved some great images, and I know their parents are so proud!
Part of what I love about senior photography is the opportunity to not only work with a young adult that is looking forward to the experience, but getting to utilize some different and unique settings for the shoot. I love the opportunity to also edit the images creatively to make stand-out, unforgettable images, preferably images that say something about who that senior is and/or what their interests are.
In addition to remembering where they've been, I love to reference where they are going. Senior photography can be a tribute to the past and a hope for the future, which is what makes it so special.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of a dear, valued client of mine and her new husband. They were married at a beautiful Catholic church, with the reception to follow at the Junction City, Kansas Opera House. The couple has a total of 9 children between them which made for some wonderful family AND wedding party shots, since the wedding party consisted of all 9 of them! It was a lot of fun and I am so happy that I was able to share in this occasion with them, particularly since I have come to know them over the past couple of years. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness and many blessings together! 
This fun photo was a special request of the Bride.. we were still working out the logistics to get all 10 of them to show up in the back, but the facial expressions were too good to pass up!
